Falling Ashes

Falling ashes from Rhema’s fireworks display,
Children burning Barbie out in the street,
Fourth of July in the Fox's driveway -
A tradition that's not easy to beat.
And peeping kids using the Hall loud talk
Caught your attention and brought you outdoor,
Making an enjoyable ev’ning walk
Something we enjoyed a whole lot more.
These memories and more our hearts cherish
That’s why we find it hard to say goodbye;
And in our hearts we cling to just one wish
As we search for answers to ev’ry “why?”
As we must now bid you, our friends, adieu
Remember us as we remember you.
