Like a rugged canyon wall
I stand solid, firm, and tall
Bearing the burdens put upon me
Supporting those depending on me
Burying my fears and insecurity
Showing resolve, not complacency
That is a face proper and right
But you see me in a different light
Showing me a little tenderness
Covering me with your gentle caress
Allowing me to feel a little helpless
When things appear a little hopeless
The wall crumbles and starts to fall
Knowing you can shelter me from it all
